It sure is hard to believe June has arrived… The anticipation of summer is always so exciting… I absolutely love the sweet summertime and hope it doesn’t fly by too fast like it usually does…
Let’s recap the month of May…
Goals Completed:
- 50 miles of activity… not great, but a work in progress…
- I read 3 great books!
- No yoga this month…. why is this so hard?! I know I could benefit from yoga both mentally and physically… I hope this month to improve on this
- My Fitness Pal update: 359 days and counting… so so close to a year!
What happened this Month?
- I attended my first Brad Paisley concert! It was everything I hoped it would be & more!
- We celebrated Mother’s Day & my Grandma Donna’s birthday
- Karlee had her beautiful baby girl, Eliana, whom I cannot wait to meet!
- We have got to enjoy several weekends on the boat! My absolute favorite thing!
- My hair color is reflecting it’s summer… very blonde! and I love it!
- We had our dentists appointments and Bennett went to the vet! Everyone is super healthy! Thank goodness!
- Our vacation is officially all paid for! Counting the days…
- Memorial Day weekend kicked off summertime!
- Some family health scares…. unfortunately my Grandpa Don (my dad’s dad) passed away early Friday morning after spending several weeks in the hospital with multiple health complications. We will be leaving Monday to travel to his funeral services… very sad for my family, but happy he is no longer suffering and in heaven…. My cousin Jenny we re-diagnosed with an aggressive cancer. Praying for a miracle as I cannot even imagine anything less for that extraordinary woman… and my Grandma Donna had a very serious seizure and is undergoing testing… Nothing prayer and our amazing God cannot handle… trying to keep a smile on my face & a positive attitude as I know things could most certainly be worse… All prayers have been so appreciated…
In June, I am looking forward to:
- increasing my workouts to get vacation ready!
- clean eating
- 3 fun concerts on back-to-back weekends
- summer time fun!
This month (more specifically the past couple of weeks) I have really been taught a lesson of faith and patience… Believe me temptation crept close to me doubting and getting angry when dealt a wave of bad news… BUT I believe God is working ever so closely to my family and keeping all of us in His loving arms… so I know no matter what the outcome is we will be fine… and I know now more than ever life is so precious… we only have such a short time on earth to take care of ourselves… I know from now on I will do my best to take care of my body and not take a single day for granted…
I hope June brings sunshine and happiness!
