Now naps aren't really Gia's forte.. she sleeps amazing at night so I kind of have the attitude of she can nap how/when she wants.. But I also know that her throwing a fit in public because she's absolutely insanely tired and won't nap isn't really cool... But hey it is what it is. :)
So that brings us back to Monday where I thought well around nap-ish time I will lay her in her crib and walk away..let's try this method...
Well 20 minutes of screaming later and an upset mommy bring us to this:
So I calm her down.. Feed her.. Change her... She's so exhausted from crying that she is sound asleep.. Until I lay her down again in her crib.. Eyes open, wide awake, ready to play... So I get her settled and walk away and here we go again...
The next 35ish minutes of crying is breaking my heart.. I'm texting my mom, calling Dan, and even the cable guy is telling me to power through.. Yeah not happening.. As soon as he left I went to go get her and found her wedged in the corner of the crib with her arms hanging out trying to escape obviously :)
Lesson learned: everyone's own ways, ideas, and styles of parenting are the right way... And crying it out might not be for us just yet..
Cereal fun:
I really can't get enough of cuddling with my girl.. Who is almost 5 months old by the way!! Crazy!!
When Dan got home and felt sad for his girls we decided to go out to dinner and run to target...
