We have arrived! Bennett Spring 2013

Welcome to our annual Labor Day weekend trip to Bennett Spring!

Dan and I kind of started this tradition in the first few years we started dating, and even though this used to be a last party weekend of the summer on the boat about 6 years ago we decided to make the most of this 3 day weekend as enjoy extra time at dans favorite place!

Then over the years my brother an his friends started joining us and its turned into a favorite weekend of ours!

We always book our trip at the beginning of march to ensure we get our favorite camping spot and we pretty much have our routine down when it comes to traveling to Bennett spring!

We have been talking the last few years about what it would be like when we eventually would bring our kids with us and then last year during the trip I was pregnant so we knew this year would be much different!  How exciting!

This trip came at a perfect time for us to get away and relax.. And if you can't relax here that's a serious problem :) Dan and I were both lucky enough to get Thursday off work so we started packing some Wednesday night, let Gia wake us up Thursday morning, then finished packing and get ready which put us on the road around 9am.  I swear my husbands patience has quadrupled ever since our princess was born and this was such a relaxing (not rushed) way to start our first family family!

Our first stop was breakfast (and iced coffee for me) at Dunkin donuts!

Then we were off!  Gia fell right asleep like such a great baby!

Happy Hubby:

We made a couple quick stops to get gas and feed Gia and before we knew it we were in Lebanon and time to grab lunch at subway!
Next stop.. BENNETT!

So many of dans favorite child good memories are of his time spent here with his family and learning to fish!  He has big plans for teaching Gia the ropes someday and it was truly a dream come true of his to finally have his baby girl here with him!  So so cute!

First catch of the day:

It was super hot outside so instead of waiting for Gia to get super fussy her and I went to play/take naps in the camper (thank you air conditioning)

The afternoon went by so quickly and we went to go pick up our happy fisherman and head to dinner and Walmart to get our groceries
My fav find:

Bed time for the baby:

She slept so great!!!
So thankful for such a happy baby girl!!

We had such a great day as a family and that's only day one!  Thankful for Gods blessings and being able to spend this time with my cute little family!
