I’m always so sad to see the Christmas season come and go so quickly, but this year was so great that is just makes me so happy and that much more excited for the year to come.
We were so blessed and celebrated the whole month with fun parties and gatherings with our family and friends.
The first weekend in December we took Gia to see Santa for the first time
The second weekend it snowed so much! It was such a beautiful snow and really made it feel like Christmas time! Dan and I had our work parties, and thankfully my work girls understood and we attended Dan’s party. I was so proud of him and so excited to meet the people he works with!
Also on Sunday we got to see Straight No Chaser at the Fox theater as part of our Christmas present from my mom. My whole family came over to our house for a delicious meal before and Aly was Gia’s first baby-sitter! Such a fun night!
My mom and I took Gia to get some Christmas pictures taken her in dress my mom bought for her. A tradition we started that my Grandma Donna always did with us.
On Saturday the 21st we had our Christmas celebration at my moms! It was so fun! Kayla was able to be in town and we just enjoyed a relaxing evening! We decorated the tree, ate so much yummy food, opened presents, played games, and watched the blues game. One of my favorite things we did was write out cards to recovering soldiers! It’s always so important to give back and remember the true reason for the season of Christmas!
Of course I had to get a Christmas mani
On Sunday the 22nd Gia turned 9 months old! We decided to open our presents at home that night!
We spent Christmas Eve with both sides of Dan’s family. We went to his parents in the afternoon, went to his aunt’s church, and then over to their annual Christmas Eve party! It was such a fun day and we loved everyone getting the chance to spend time with Gia
Christmas Morning we woke up at our own home {first time I can remember that happening!} and relaxed until we went over to my Grandma & Grandpa’s to exchange gifts with them and my uncles. Then we went to my Aunt & Uncles for our traditional Christmas meal with my moms family.
After playing games and eating too much as usual, we headed home to relax the rest of the night and let Gia play with her new toys
This years Christmas was magical for so many reasons. I swear my heart could burst with how happy and blessed I feel to be surrounded by such great family and friends. Our sweet baby girl brings more joy to our lives than I even imagined possible. I know life will just keep getting better.
It’s about time to ring in a new year. The best is yet to come!
