To catch up on my blog…
Life is so busy and fun. Just what it should be with a one year old! Still sounds so funny to say that Gia is one! Doesn’t seem possible, but so much excitement is still to come
I’m sure this post will be random and all over the place, but that’s my life lately so here it goes…
We went to church yesterday as a family… It was like a breath of fresh air… I make excuses far too often to not go for one reason or another, mostly because I’m not sure how Gia will cooperate.. but the reality is we want her to be raised attending church on a regular basis and the only way to achieve that is to.. attend church. duh. It was great and we were greeted so warmly by the pastor {who did not make us sign the guest book.. a running joke..}
We had a hair party today at Karlee’s. I am BLONDE and love it so much. Just what I needed to perk me up after too long of a winter for my liking. Only downer was Gia bit her pal Eliana.. not once but twice. Karlee was so awesomely understanding, but shoot I feel terrible. But I know things are going to happen, and it’s just an opportunity to teach Gia right from wrong. Here we go parenting, I hope I don’t totally suck at it… hehe
The weekend of March 29th we attended a wedding that felt like a high school reunion… I said a few too many times that it felt like prom but better! haha It was a fun night out for sure while Gia had fun with Gaga.
This past weekend I had Saturday off and we really relaxed and didn’t overbook ourselves. {Something I really need to work on}… We met my mom for lunch Saturday at McAllister's {hello sweet tea!} and besides that we really stayed home. It. Was. Awesome.
Lately I’ve been feeling a bit overwhelmed over simple things, and that’s a big wake up call to kind of do a reality check, put things in perspective, and get back into my groove {whatever that may be}… I’m really focusing on my prayer journal {in week 2 of a great bible study leading up to Easter}.. trying to be mindful of my eating {90 days and counting logging into My Fitness Pal}, and I’m making a game plan to get back into a more consistent workout routine. Summer is quickly approaching and I want to be confident on my boat. Hello motivation!
I am so thankful for every day. Even when I feel confused, sad, or worried {which I’m working on}, I know God will give me the strength to get through what the day has in store for me. I am so blessed to have the support system of wonderful family and friends. Life is good. Here’s to a great week!
