Last night as I was heading home from work to make dinner I was feeling very blessed.... Not only did I get off work early, but I survived day 3 of no soda/
caffeine without any emotional breakdowns or being too fussy :)
yahtzee! Our meal planning at home is going really well. We are on week two and we both notice what a huge difference planning ahead does... However last night I stopped by the little store by our house to pick up an ingredient that I remembered at the last minute... I got home to find Dan unloading the final pieces to finish our new lighting on our front porch (which looks amazing, I'm so proud of him)... I head inside, play with Bennett for a little while then I proceed to get dinner started... I get out all my ingredients, turn on the stove and then...
wah wah wahhh no ground beef... yep! awesome! We used it on Saturday when Dan "craved" sloppy
joe's... So I jump in the car with only my debit card and keys, and head back to the small store for the second time.... find the ground beef, go to pay... and oh yeah I need my total to be over $5 to use my debit card... I sprint to the cookie aisle (not the most health savvy decision but I almost grabbed a soda, but I'm proud of myself for powering through that one)... and the first item that catches my attention was this blast from the past...

Oh what a treat! These were my favorite when I was a kid! I remember always eating them at my Great Grandma & Great Grandpa Luer's house. Dan had never even had them before!
So with these lovely animal cookies my grand total at the store was $5.58... everyone's happy, dinner was a success, all in all... not too bad of a Tuesday :)
I love them too...I am so thankful shopnsave is around the corner for me too
