Life Lately

Time to catch up on my abandoned blog… once again…

I always commit to staying more on top of this, and where does the time go?!

Life Lately has been nothing short of amazing!

Being a mommy to our sweet baby girl is by far one of the greatest gifts God has ever given me.  I really do feel a sense of completeness now that she is with us.  I have found myself saying, “why in the world did I wait to have a baby until now??”  BUT the answer is:  God’s timing is perfect, and this is exactly when I was supposed to become a mommy!  I feel so much comfort in knowing that!

Gia & I have been on many different adventures so far!  Most including my Mom which I am so unbelievably blessed to have been able to spend so much time with her (even though we are all very much anticipating when she will begin working again!).  We have been to the zoo {with Daddy & Uncle Clark}, Grant’s Farm, The Loading Dock {even touring the Pinta and Nina ships}, PLENTY of shopping, BBQ’s, and even a weekend at Grammy’s this past weekend when Dan was out of town on a fishing trip.

Dan and I went on our first date night since Gia was born last week!  We went to a Mexican restaurant and had a blast just relaxing {and reminiscing about our trip to Mexico last summer}.  We of course missed our baby girl, but knew she was perfectly fine at home with her Grammy Rita… speaking of Grammy… it’s up for debate if my mom will now be called Grammy or GiGi… hmmm both are cute… Maybe Gia will decide!

This is my last week of maternity leave… again where has the  time gone?!  I am usually a worrier and have more anxiety than I care to admit BUT I am so happy that I can truly say I have enjoyed and soaked up every single moment of my time at home with Gia.  These last few weeks have been amazing and are moments I will never ever forget.  I am so thankful for my husband who has given me this priceless gift!  Gia will be in amazing care when I return to work, and I’m looking forward to seeing my work friends again more often.  I’m sure I’ll have my moments when I miss her SO much, but I am so lucky to work where I do and my schedule is SO amazing… Nothing to complain or worry about! However, I might not put Gia down all week hehe!

I have had an on-going to do list of things I’ve wanted to accomplish while I have been off of work.  I feel like I have been super productive all while having so much fun too!  This week I plan on tackling my goal of deep cleaning my house.. and then this coming weekend we are so excited to be having Gia baptized!

This is a very random post, full of blabbing but that’s pretty much my life lately… Organized Chaos at it’s finest!

Here’s to my last week as a stay at home mommy!
