Yep! That's me... Cheesin' away while rockin' out to my discman... This picture is probably from 7th grade (process of elimination because I got braces in 7th grade, and contacts in 8th)A GREAT friend posted some old pics on facebook today and it has made me very thankful for many materialish things that I didn't know I appreciated so much...
I am thankful for:
- braces
- contacts
- highlights
- learning how to style my hair (don't think I knew how to do anything besides a pony tail then)
- a great friend (pictured with me above) whose mom waxed my eyebrows when my mom wouldn't allow it
- understanding that it's not cool to dress like a boy... and it does not get their attention haha
- makeup
- especially bronzer
- "blossoming" as I've gotten older (as stated by my husband)
Don't get me wrong... as I sit here typing this I am extremely content in sweats, a baseball hat, and no makeup... I'm just very thankful to have matured into a woman who appreciate beauty in all aspects :)
So fun to look back... wouldn't change those years for anything :)
