The Simple Things

I really do consider myself a simple person... what's the fun in being so complicated anyway? {even though I know sometimes I probably can be whether or not I even notice} ... I just thought it would be fun to write a short list of some 'simple' things that truly make my happy... :)

  1. Bennett. This little puppy brings me so much joy I can't even list all the reasons. BUT I just love how happy he is to greet me each time I walk in the door. Whether I'm gone all day or for five minutes he is so happy & excited to see me.
  2. Lazy, Rainy, Sundays with D. Don't get me wrong, I love the sunshine, but there is just something about laying in the chair cuddling with my husband that makes everything feel right in the world.
  3. Fresh Flowers. Nothing extravagant, just some pretty fresh flowers. It just brightens my mood no matter what.
  4. Fountain Soda. Although I know that this is not a very healthy habit (I did change from regular to diet=huge difference)... but I love stopping to get an ice cold fountain diet Pepsi... yummm!
  5. Making Lists. I love being productive and pride myself on being pretty organized. I love to make lists and set goals whether they are daily, weekly, monthly, etc. It's awesome to reflect back and see how much I've accomplished.
  6. Our Community. I love the small town, country feeling that comes with living here. I love the drive home from work and when I get here I always feel like I should be on vacation. I feel so blessed.
  7. Clean Sheets. It always seems like I get the best nights sleep when you crawl into a bed with sheets fresh out of the dryer... I purposely wait to pull them out of the dryer and make the bed until I'm ready to go to sleep :)
  8. Gossip Magazines. I have no idea why these magazines are so appealing, but hand me a US Weekly, In Touch, or People and I'm a happy girl.
  9. Texts or Calls from D, just because. I love that he still gives me butterflies :)
  10. Grocery Shopping. I have really changed my attitude/relationship with food over the past few months. Shopping for healthy food to fuel my body has turned from a chore into a fun hobby of mine. I love spending time on my day off to go to all of my grocery stores (depending on the day or what I need I shop at 4 different ones)
