Let's catch up...
First of all I finally feel like myself again {whatever that means hehe}... and it's definitely a great feeling!
Work:
I have been super busy at work, it seriously feels like holiday time... maybe everyone else is just anxious like me to get back into a schedule/routine??? :)
Whatever it is I like it! Being busy is the best! I am also starting to transition my hair color into more of my natural color... we will see how long that sticks around...
Weight Loss/Fitness:
I am sooo proud to be able to say that I have lost 35 (and counting) pounds since last year... what an accomplishment that I am incredibly in awe of... I have had the support of some amazing people and am constantly amazed at how strong my body has become when I take care of it like I should :)
I have without a doubt changed my priorities and lifestyle. I like to think they are all positive changes, but it's hard to face the negative criticism that comes with doing something good for myself... but that is okay... I have absolutely accepted the fact that people change... and it's the people that change with you & are supportive of your choices that you should invest your time in...
Church:
I attended a new (to me) church last week with D, L, & T :) It's so close to our house and something about being there just felt right. I have been searching for a few years to find a church where I feel like I belonged and I never would have guessed I would end up somewhere that reconnects me back to the way I was raised. I felt like I slipped right back to where I belong, and I can't wait to attend church there again.
The Walk:
The 3Day walk has come & gone. The weekend was much anticipated and I sometimes cannot believe it is already over. We spent so much time fundraising, prepping, and planning for this event and it feels good to have it checked off the list. The event was extremely successful {$5 million raised for the Susan G Komen Foundation!} and without a doubt an experience I will never forget.
Last Days of Summer:
The break in the weather reminds me that fall is right around the corner... and although I am not ready to say good bye to summer quite yet, the urge to get organized has set in...
I started with going through all of my clothes... {trying on a pair of jeans from last year and having them fall right off is a GREAT feeling}... and donated a TON of stuff... and I have a huge home to-do list to get this place as organized as possible... "the closest key to happiness is ORGANIZATION" :)
We also have a fun weekend trip coming up soon, and I cannot wait to get away & relax...but until summer bids us farewell we are trying to soak up as much boating time as possible :)
Bookie:
I have been a reading machine lately... Here are some of my recent reads:
- The Hunger Games trilogy...
- so great! I could not put these down! who cares if they are a young adult book?! I hear a movie is coming out sometime in the future :)
- The 9th Pretty Little Liars Book
- yes yes, again for the younger crowd, but I just love these books! Can't wait for the next one to come out
- A Stolen Life
- this book tells the story first hand of Jaycee D who was kidnapped at age 11 and discovered 18 years later... extremely graphic... I couldn't put it down because I think I wanted to get to the happy ending... read at your own risk...
- Everygirls Guide to Life
- one of the best books I have ever read... so much great information on how to live a positive, organized, and meaningful life... I learned some amazing life-lessons from this book that I will carry with me for forever...

This book was recommended by the kindle peeps so I just decided to try something different... so far so good... a very light read...
Have you read Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin? If not, I highly recommend it! You will LOVE it!
