I think I finally am getting back into the swing of things after escaping from reality for four days...
Bennett is still exhausted though...
Yesterday was back to work for this family...AND the weather here is giving us a great little fall preview... The cooler temperatures are so nice & I love the crisp feel to the air in the morning... We finally got to turn off our air conditioning and open up the windows... One of my favorite things is to get ready in the mornings with fresh air blowing through the house :)
Even though I love vacation I get excited to get back into our routine... and one things for sure that needs to get back on track is my eating (& exercise) I took a major "vacation" from how I usually eat this past weekend and I definitely started feeling the consequences yesterday. I felt groggy & had a subtle headache for most of the day.. until I ate one of my favorite go-to lunches...
After work yesterday I stopped by the grocery store to pick up food for us for the week {starting to try & limit going out to eat as much as possible}... I got home, put away groceries, & immediately started laundry/unpacking from the weekend... all while making dinner... talk about multi-tasking... :)
Dan had a meeting after work, so it was nice to be able to get a head start on getting the house cleaned up before he got home :)
After we finished dinner I had the urge to keep organizing stuff in the house... so I bribed him to tackle his clothes... Two full closets and two dressers later {yes he absolutely has more clothes than I do} we are able to donate this:
Yay! Three bags of clothes that I am going to drop off this morning on my way to work! I also transitioned my clothes into fall :) I don't care if we still get some warmer weather... I am ready for FALL! :)
Dan's reward for being a good sport and spending 2+ hours going through his clothes??
AKA a way to my husband's heart... I bought him some of his favorite treats at the grocery store just to be nice, but it came at a perfect time especially when I think he would have rather spent his evening doing anything else but going through clothes... love you D! :)
Now it's time to get ready for another work day... Half-way through this week already! Have a great Wednesday!
I desperately need to get my husband to sort through and donate some of his clothes. He has SO many- at least 2x as much as I do, and never gets rid of anything. To be fair, it's not like his weight changes like mine constantly does, but still - we all have things we don't ever wear anymore!
ReplyDeleteIt's very "free'ing" to organize and de-clutter! especially clothes!
