Today marks the 10th anniversary of a date that will never be forgotten in our nation's history... I remember being a junior in high school sitting in Mrs. Hoft's Algebra II class when we heard the announcement... Not only today, but everyday I am so proud to be an American... and will never forget or stop being thankful for all those who serve to protect our country!
We sang this song in church this morning and it brought tears to my eyes... Our God never forgets about us!
"God Bless Our Native Land"Siegfried August Mahlmann, 1771-1826
Recast by John S. Dwight, 1813-1893
1. God bless our native land!
Firm may she ever stand
Thro' storm and night!
When the wild tempests rave,
Ruler of wind and wave
Do Thou our country save
By Thy great might.
2. For her our prayer shall rise
To God above the skies;
On Him we wait.
Thou who art ever nigh,
Guarding with watchful eye,
To Thee aloud we cry,
God save the State! Amen.
As I am sitting here and typing out this post we are watching Sunday Night Football {obviously!}, and the beginning of the games have all paid tribute to remembering 9/11... amazing to see how our country stands united! USA!
