Fall{ing} in love...

This is my favorite time of the year!  Christmas is a close second, followed next by summer.... but Fall is the best!

Yesterday was officially the first day of fall... some people do spring cleaning... I however get really pumped about Fall Organizing... and that organizing kick spreads to all areas of my life... the house, clothes, goals, exercise, & healthy eating...

It came at a perfect time because lately I have been eating not so great... and making less of an effort to meet my workout goals... It all came full circle this week after I thought I wanted a "bad" dinner... and by bad I mean very yummy not so healthy things, and I felt completely awful after eating... not even satisfied & just plain "blah"... I'm glad I realized that sometimes it's just not worth it to give into those temptations... so instead of waiting until Monday for a fresh new week... I started yesterday... the first day of fall!  Back to my goals & excited to get in those morning workouts... no more excuses ;)

I had a busy day yesterday full of errands & then Girls On The Run!  I led the lesson by myself & the girls were so cute!  I just cannot describe how proud I am to be a part of this organization & be able to impact the lives of these young girls :)

We were invited to attend a bonfire at one of our friends houses' last night... it was a fun small group of people including my brother, as well as L! {Love any chance I can see her!} Sitting around the fire laughing & telling stories with the cool night breeze reminded me of one of the many reasons I love this time of year!

I made a yummy snack to bring to share around the fire...

 In the mix:
  • candy corn
  • fat free pretzels
  • mixed popcorn: regular, cheese, and caramel
  • pretzel m&m's
  • regular m&m's
It was a hit... I wanted to create a Fall-ish snack mix... minus peanuts because of my allergy :)  Everyone loved it, and even better it came out to be 100 calories for 1 cup :)  Let's just say I did not feel a bit guilty for munching on this all night :)

Tonight we are going to dinner to celebrate my mom's birthday!  A group is celebrating early at a beautiful winery, but I had to skip it because of work... but Dan & I are super excited to meet them for a yummy dinner at a new pizza place later this evening :)  But first I have convinced him to do a little shopping... time to go get ready for a fun night out!
